Should be military service compulsory?

At the present, many countries have the compulsory military service. They are undeveloped, or developing countries. When people look at these countries that are developed countries such as Holland, they cannot see any compulsory military service in these countries. Because they are developed and they feel safe themselves. That’s way, compulsory military service should not be obligatory like these states.

    First of all, some people argue that compulsory military service definitely must be compulsory because military service is patriotism. They say that if a man does not do military service, especially in conservative countries, you are not a patriot. For example, parents do not marry off their girls if a man does not do military service in Turkey. Because the military service is sacred. In short, according to these people, men have to do military service.

    On the other hand, youth do not want to do compulsory military service because of they have a family, a job, an order. For example, you are 23 and you have a family and a job. You are a boss in a small factory. If you do military service, you have to leave your job for 18 months. Furthermore, you have not an assistant. Briefly, youth do not want to do compulsory military service.

    In addition, free military service sc. professional army will be very useful for countries’ economies. There are many people who do not want to do military service and they are going to give money to the government. Governments should use this advantage. Shortly, free military service is a source of cash money for a country economy.

    Consequently, the military service should be free, not compulsory because of many reasons like family, job etc. Additionally, it is so much beneficial for an economy because they will give money. My opinion is that governments should help to youth about this problem because everyone cannot be soldier and armies need professional soldiers.
