Reasons of Crime

    In the modern world, rates of crime started to rise dramatically. Although punishments increase, rates of crime is also rises. Governments are trying to destroy reasons of crime and they are trying to solve solutions. According to researches that are about criminology, there are three main reasons of crime that are economic, demographic and psychological.

    First of all, economy is so crucial for people. People work to earn money. If a country’s economy is very bad, this country has very high rate of crime. According to a research that was done in 2005, high rate of crime is very common in undeveloped countries. Theft, bribe, blackmail murder etc. crimes so widespread in countries like Brazil, Mexico, Afghanistan and Thailand. As known, these countries are one of the poorest countries in the world and people cannot earn money easily. Therefore, people tend crimes.

    Secondly, demography is one of substantial factor of crime. If a dog is tied to a rod, it makes dog aggressive. In this way, people are influenced their environment. For instance, if a human grows in a gipsy ghetto, they most probably will be a criminal. When a human grows in prosperous district like Etiler, he will not be a criminal. Shortly, environment and demography affect people much about crimes.

    Third reason is psychological factors of crimes. This factor may be an interesting reason because how does the psychology influence about crime? According to some psychologists’ research shows an unusual result: some people who live in prosperous district and a rich family, moreover, they did training very quality, can commit. Although they have everything, this kind of people were seen to commit crimes. The reason is in their own unconscious. These people want actions in their life and this situation is called kleptomaniac illness.

    When everything is taken into account, increasing rate of crime in the modern world has three main factors that are economic, environmental and psychological reasons. If governments want to solve crime problem, they have to firstly solve these reasons that are mentioned. When these factors are solved, the world will be a better place. In addition, a point that overlooked is governments concentre just giving punishments. They do not concentre solving reasons of crimes.
