What are the Solutions for More Effective Education?
Today’s countries have various education systems. Some countries have usual and standart education system but other countries have different systems. This difference may be positive and negative. Many governments have been trying for making their systems more effective and useful. Some governments have achieved that, some governments about to achieve and some governments have become unsuccessful. In my opinion, an education system will be more effective if governments apply these: free course choice, rehabilitation of books of courses and better pedagogic formation for teachers.
First of all, as known, students cannot choose what they want lessons in a lot of countries. This is very big problem for education. This problem should be solved by this way: Until high school, basic courses should be shown to students. After primary education, students should be allowed about choice of courses. For instance, some people may be verbal, numerical, or linguistic. Schools must not enforce for taking that they do not want. They cannot enforce to a verbal student for choosing Maths.
Secondly, books are so significant, perhaps the most important tool, in education. In the past, people have learnt a lot of informations thanks to books. Textbooks have to be very efficient and useful for student. Unfortunately, in Turkey, many textbooks are not used in schools and they are littered. We live in millennium. Technology can be applied to books. However, tablets should not be given, I do not mean that. Content and mistakes that in books should be changed and improved.
Third, teachers are indispensable for education. That’s way teachers should be near perfect. This may be possible if the teachers have a good education. Countries’ education systems have pedagogic formation, some has very good, some has very bad. A good pedagogic formation must be successfully applied for removing this contrast. As known in public opinion, in some schools, teachers engage violence for students. This situation is unacceptable for an education system. In good pedagogic formation, this idea should be taught that teacher should not strong-arm for teaching.
Consequently, free choice for courses, rehabilitation of books of courses and more efficient pedagogic formation. If governments want better education system, they have to apply these conditions. A good education system means a good next generations, a good economics and a good politics. Governments should care the aforementioned conditions for their more effective education system.
